The MCS+ 9000 system
currently available for sale in the U.S. can only be used for the
collection of platelets or a combination of platelets and plasma. Haemonetics is presently considering the submission of the other
protocols for review by the Food and Drug Administration.
The MCS+ platelet
protocol Revision E (known as the "Time Saver" protocol) is pending
510(k) clearance and is not currently available for sale in the U.S.
